Allison Beasley Scholarship

Allison Beasley, 12 years old, lost her life in a chain reaction car accident involving her entire family on I-285 Thanksgiving Day 2015.  Allison's sweet and caring spirit, love of family and true friendship will be forever missed by her family and friends who loved her dearly.  A scholarship has been set up in Allison's name, so that her memory and love of softball will live on through the Sandy Plains Softball Association.

The scholarship applies only to Recreational (Rec) - non-travel softball -  girls playing with the Sandy Plains Softball Association.  The scholarship is open to all age groups and there is 1 scholarship awarded each of the Spring and Fall softball seasons.  Any player interested should write a letter stating 'what softball means to me'.  All letters will be reviewed by the Board Committee, who will choose the recipient.  All letters  will be presented to the Markham/Beasley family and the award recipient can choose to either receive a full reimbursement of their Spring/Fall registration, free registration if they have not paid yet, or be given a free future Rec registration with Sandy Plains Softball Association.  .  Additionally, the recipient will be the only player (other than Allison's sister) assigned the number 10 jersey, in honor of Allison.
