Approved Softball Equipment
The bats must have the ASA logo on them. No baseball bats. Size a rule of thumb is the top of the bat should come to the player’s wrist and she should be able to hold it straight out to the side for 10 seconds before it feels too heavy.
Selecting the appropriate bat size for your daughter is very important. As a coach, we often see players who have a bat that does not suit their height and weight. The right bat is one that allows the player to generate maximum bat speed. You accomplish this buy purchasing a bat that is not too heavy nor too long. The following chart can be used as a guideline for selecting the proper bat for your daughter.
